How is fuel cost calculated?
Distance × consumption ÷ 100 gives litres; multiply by price per litre. For 450 km at 7 L/100 km and 45 per litre: 31.5 litres, about 1,418.
Where do I find my car’s consumption?
The manual figure is a start. A better way: divide the litres from your last fill-ups by the distance driven and multiply by 100.
Why is real consumption higher?
Speed, load, air conditioning, wind, tyre pressure and city traffic all raise consumption. Leave a margin on long trips.
Can I use it for an electric car?
Yes. Enter kWh per 100 km and the price per kWh and it works the same way.
